Visiting from NC. Craving Cuban coffee, I found this place. As soon as I went in and saw the food options I ordered two plates. it was soooo good. I wish I lived close so I can order it daily. Great price as well. Very friendly staff. The owner came out and checked on us to see how we liked everything. He is very kind and sociable. We will stop and visit every time we visit Florida.

Was skeptical when there were no customers inside when we walked in tbh. However I got a cuban and ham croquetas. Definitely the best croquetas around. Remind me of back in miami having traditional Cuban food. Cuban does not have that traditional Cuban flavor but it was still very delicious. Not sure why they don't have customers as the food is very good.
Hands down best Cuban food and best people around! My husband and I go often and they never disappoint. If you haven't been, I highly suggest you try them out...you won't be sorry! Save some shredded beef for us though
I just found this amazing, authentic Cuban restaurant in Port Charlotte with homemade cooking, freshly ground coffee for your cafe con leche, pastries, roast pork, yuca, plantains…. You wont need to make a trip to Miami, it’s been here for 18 yrs. It’s a hole in the wall/mom and pops establishment with the kindest staff. I had yellow rice, red beans, chicken and yuca. They also have rice pudding and guava filled cakes for sale. They have a large following and lunch time can get busy as well at breakfast since they are opened from 7am. I can’t wait to get back to try other meals on their menu
My girlfriend enjoys Cuban food, so I found this place while on a little get-away. It is clean inside but looks like a dive, but isn’t that where the best food always is? Absolutely amazing food, I had pulled chicken, rice and beans, fried mashed potato meat thing, and Yuca. Everything was spot-on, portions were enough for leftovers and everything tasted amazing. Definitely worth a visit, loud inside but if you are hyper-focused on the food like we were, you’ll barely notice and it adds to the dive feel.
First time here and wish I had found this gem a long time ago. I love Cuban food and coffee and this place has the best coffee and food that had so much flavor. The portions are more than I could eat and the prices are very reasonable.
